The Naish Australian N1SCO Tour hit Victoria on March 23, 2014 at the seaside town of Inverloch where packs of paddlers lined up to battle it out with blustery onshore winds and dropping tides.
Instead of running the usual BOP and sprint races, organizers adjusted the format according to weather conditions, and paddlers would instead run a short course race with a beach transition within the protected, calm waters of Anderson Inlet.
The Kids event also saw the course altered to a mini-down winder and with the help of some expert on-water marshalling, the kids floated, splashed and paddled their way through to the finish.
In the end, it was Jean Ringrose taking the Women’s, Warwick Lee narrowly taking the Men’s and Flynn Ringrose taking the gold for the Junior’s.
Yet another great N1SCO event! Great job to all those that participated!
