Bluebird skies and still conditions greeted crowds of both new and experienced paddlers on Sunday, March 2nd 2014 for the first round of the 2014 Australian N1SCO Tour. Molonglo proved to be the perfect battle ground for the N1SCO racing format using the Naish ONE Inflatable SUP.
The Men’s event saw some great battles before Matt Scott, the “SUP’ing Caveman”, emerged as the overall victor. In the Women’s events, south coast local Melissa McManus stood tall and proud with well-deserved wins in every event. In 2nd, was Angela Crawford, who was closely followed in 3rd by Jo Nelson. The day finished with a fun relay where carnage was rewarded with a convoluted course and a beach transition. Once again, McManus steered “Team Tallies” to another win with “Team 17” in 2nd and team “Spag bog” in 3rd.
Great job to all those that participated! We’ll see you at the next N1SCO event!
